About the Institute

The mission of the Institute of Wood Sciences and Furniture is to serve economic development
and intellectual property of Polish society and the European community, especially
taking into account the development of all branches of the wood industry and associated sectors
economic, protection of tangible cultural goods containing wood, and protection extensively
the understood natural environment in which the wood and furniture industry operates.

Our goal is to ensure a high level of professionalism and to conduct scientific research and implementation activities at the highest level, as well as to support the education process carried out at the Doctoral School of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Warsaw and at the Faculty of Wood Technology of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, while maintaining ethical standards. The basis of INDM’s identity and success are values ​​such as: professionalism, attention to quality, diligence and innovation with openness to all development opportunities while respecting tradition.
